Joe Creek
Designed by Barrick Rosenberry of Hall – Rosenberry Civil Engineers of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joe Creek which runs on the North side of, and is adjacent to, Langenheim Park in Tulsa needed a unique retaining wall to stabilize the creek bank of Joe Creek.
SI Precast of Tulsa was asked to create 60” and 41” custom retaining wall blocks with a 2”x12” recess on the back of the block, which allowed for the construction of the 1 to 1, 1 to 2, and 1 x 3 slope required by the engineer. The wall was constructed by Jones Plan of Tulsa in fall of 2008 and is one of the most unique projects in SI Precast’s portfolio.
