Kanakuk Camp
Redi Rock can be FUN TOO!
When Kanakuk Camp, headquartered in Branson, Missouri, wanted to create a giant waterslide at their Lampe, Missouri Kanakuk K2 facility they came to SI Precast to create a launch ramp 18 ft. higher than the surrounding terrain. Built on top of what is affectionately referred to as Cardiac Hill, the designers wanted to make sure the slide would have enough elevation change to rocket the riders the entire 450’ length into a 4.5’ deep pool at the lower end.
More than 450 Redi-Rock Ledgestone Positive Connection (PC) retaining wall blocks were used to create the three sided ramp. After the ramp was complete a subtle stain was applied to compliment the native stone and blend into the natural surroundings. Much of the money from the slide was donated, and the project is known as Brickell Falls. A second slide has recently been completed at Kanakuk K1 near Hollister.
