Niangua River Ranch
The Tunis project is at a private river retreat in SW Missouri, built on a small tributary of the Niangua River. After a bridge washed away in 2017, the owner of this private retreat asked SI Precast to supply Redi-Rock retaining wall blocks to rebuild the foundations on each side of the 100′ clear span covered bridge.
This unique project consisted of foundation for a 100’ clearspan covered bridge, the creation of a dammed pond, and splashing overflow using hundreds of Redi-Rock retaining wall blocks. The 60″ Redi-Rock retaining wall blocks were chosen in the Limestone texture, which have a natural split limestone texture that mimics quarried limestone and fits in beautifully with the scenic natural area surrounding the project. The retaining wall blocks were stacked and buried as much as 7.5′ deep, creating the perfect bridge foundation, as well as the pond sidewalls, ensuring that the bridge will stay in place for years to come.
