Texas is known for being the place where everything is bigger and the Redi-Rock Retaining Wall System at the Nebraska Furniture Mart near Dallas was no exception.
Project Details
SI Precast completed and manufactured over 85,000 square feet of Redi-Rock retaining wall blocks in time for the grand opening of the new Nebraska Furniture Mart in The Colony, Texas. The finished retaining wall is over 40’ tall in places. As you can see in the photo, the man is dwarfed by the massive Redi-Rock retaining wall system! The site conditions were difficult and the 15,000 Redi-Rock retaining wall blocks provided an excellent solution for this challenging location.
The Redi-Rock retaining wall system was specified by Graham Associates, Inc., designed by Engineered Earth Solutions, and built by Mario Sinacola and Sons. The Redi-Rock retaining wall blocks were manufactured at SI Precast’s Ennis, Texas facility, which is an NPCA Certified plant.
With 560,000 square feet of selling space, this is the largest store in Texas and the largest furniture store in the U.S. The grand opening for the Nebraska Furniture Mart was held on April 30, 2015.
